"Kafka On The Shore"

I actually started reading a different book before this one but it was so bad I had to stop reading it! That was "Captain Alatriste" by Arturo Perez-Reverte. It was translated from spanish and the translation didn't go so well. The story was choppy and had no flow. I got extremely bored with it and stopped reading. This book does not deserve it's own post.

However, I am currently finishing "Kafka On The Shore" by Haruki Murakami. This book is another translation, this time from Japanese. The story and writing of this book is tremendous and far exceeds the previous book. This book is a story about a boy named Kafka and an elderly gentleman name Nakata. It follows how their two, very different lives, are intricately entwined with each other. This story is beautiful and wonderful and a joy to read. I may have to pick up more books by this author, as he has written quite a few more. Very enjoyable.

Next up: Not sure, must scour the book shelf for one of my latest purchases.
