Bay Area

Last weekend I made my first trip to California, more specifically the San Francisco Bay Area, including Mountain View, Palo Alto, Santa Clara and of course, San Fran. I took part in the deliciousness that is In-and-Out Burger, a true California experience, as well as attending a ball game at AT&T Park, home of the Giants, the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf. I didn't really get a chance to see most of the city so a return trip is a must!

Providence Bridge Pedal!

This past Sunday Kevin and I and a host of other people took part in the Providence Bridge Pedal. This community bike ride is such a great way to get out and see Portland! We decided to sign up for the 10 bridge, 36 mile ride covering all the major bridges that cross the Willamette River in Portland. It was a great day for bike riding as we had an early start at 7:15AM. The ride started off well and by bridge 8 I was ready to stop....my knee totally hurt! I couldn't quite understand why but it made the last 2 bridges quite a challenge, especially getting to the St. John's Bridge! Kevin was a trooper and stayed with me while I struggled but we finished and celebrated with bread bowl with seafood chowder!

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers!

Last Saturday Kevin got me into the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers show at the Clark County Amphitheater. What a great show! Not only did they play a bunch of songs I knew but Stevi Nicks also made a guest appearance and sang along on a couple of songs. Here's a set list from the show.
